About
Mary Ellis Morris
M.S. in Special Education | Educator | Parent | Advocate for Neurodivergent Learners
I’m Mary Ellis Morris, a special educator with over a decade of experience supporting children, teens, and young adults with disabilities and neurodivergent profiles. My work began in traditional school settings, where I witnessed firsthand how often creativity, individuality, and life skills were overshadowed by standardized expectations.
As both an educator and a parent, I understand the challenges families face when navigating systems that don’t always honor how their children learn best. I created Morris Independence Consultants and Chattanooga Pathways Learning Collective to offer something different — a holistic, strengths-based approach that helps students and families build confidence, independence, and meaningful real-world skills.
My philosophy is simple: learning should be functional, joyful, and personalized. Through individualized coaching and community-based learning, I aim to help neurodivergent learners thrive not just academically, but in life.
